A Unique Wedding Venue for a Much-Anticipated Wedding

This private airplane hangar wedding was easily one of the most unique weddings I’ve had the opportunity to photograph! The sweet couple had to adjust their wedding plans multiple times because of the pandemic. Finally, they were able to celebrate their long-overdue wedding on a beautiful and warm fall day this October at a private airplane hangar in Clarksburg, California. Planes took off and landed throughout the day, and one of the pilots even allowed us to take a few photos in front of a small aircraft. I loved this incredibly unique wedding venue!

The Wedding Day

The wedding day began as the bride and groom got ready with their closest friends and family. I am obsessed with how gorgeous the bride looked with her intricately-detailed gown and incredible bouquet! Once the bride and groom were ready for the day, they had their first look in front of the airplane hangar. After a few sweet photos, the bridal party joined in! A very special moment of the day was when the bride’s grandfather drove her to the aisle in his vintage car. The car holds many good memories for this family, including the bride’s grandfather driving her to every school dance! I was so grateful to capture this special moment for the family. After the wedding ceremony, we took more photos with the California sunset. Then all of the guests danced the night away, so happy to be able to finally celebrate Mr. and Mrs. Messenger!
