Aaron & Carley Get Married

Carley and Aaron’s wedding day at Catta Verdera was the sweetest day! This couple met way back in middle school and ended up connecting with each other in 2013 in college. Their first outing was an ice cream date where they sat and talked for hours, never wanting their time together to end. Aaron proposed in February 2021 at Half Moon Bay and they were married at the Catta Verdera Country Club! Check out their engagement session on the blog.

Wedding Day at Catta Verdera

Catta Verdera is a private country club set in a magical setting just outside of Sacramento. This is the area’s only Spanish-style wedding venue and it is absolutely majestic here! The venue features a private retreat for getting ready before the ceremony, a ceremony site, terrace for a cocktail hour, and reception space for up to 180 guests. There are many other amenities that make your experience at Catta Verdera excellent! 

The typical feeling entering a bridal suite on a wedding day is energetic, both excited and nervous. The feeling on this wedding day was very different from the hustle-and-bustle of other wedding days. I walked into the suite and there was an overwhelming calmness and joy. As the bride finished her makeup, her mom looked at her only daughter with tears in her eyes. The groom, a few doors down, was smiling ear to ear with excitement, surrounded by his friends who were supporting him. Carley’s uncle officiated at the ceremony and he included personal memories of his niece as a little girl and shared why he knew the groom was perfect for her. The sweetest moment was when both bridal parties and the parents surrounded each couple in prayer before they left for the reception. They spoke sweet and powerful words, asking God to protect and surround Aaron and Carley forever. We snuck away during the reception for photos in the most beautiful sunset. The rest of the night was filled with dancing and joy.
