UC Davis Arboretum & Gardens Engagement Photos

Carley and Aaron’s UC Davis engagement session was a dream! Carley is a breath of fresh air, so sweet and giggly. Aaron had the SWEETEST look in his eyes as he looked at his fiance. Their chemistry is the kind of love that everyone wants to find! We had an amazing time taking their engagement photos at the arboretum and gardens at UC Davis. I also loved how their summery outfits matched the scenery perfectly!

Annual Wedding Photography Giveaway

Each year, I hold a full wedding collection giveaway to celebrate my birthday. There’s no catch, no hidden fees, just a wedding gift that I give to one deserving couple each year! I believe that this giveaway is a way for me to take just a little bit of the stress off of one couple’s plate as they plan their special day. I open the giveaway for two weeks and couples email me their love story to enter. My husband and I sit and read everyone’s stories and we are blown away by the amazing love stories out there. Some are incredibly sweet, some make us laugh, and some are straight out a fairytale! 2021 was my fourth year giving away a wedding collection and the winners were Carley and Aaron! Their story gave me a little bit of everything—the “aww” moments, the laughs, and the feeling that I needed to document their forever story!

Aaron & Carley’s Love Story

Carley and Aaron met in 2008 in middle school. Aaron asked Carley to the 8th-grade dance and she turned him down! He was so embarrassed that he never wanted to see Carley again. They went to the same high school but didn’t connect until 2013. They went to the same college and Carley remembers thinking that Aaron had become quite handsome. She got caught staring at him across campus. The next day, they ran into each other and Carley was completely smitten. They started talking and having amazing conversations over the phone. A few days later, Aaron asked Carley out on an ice cream date. They sat and talked for hours, not wanting their time together to end. Aaron asked Carley if she would be his girlfriend in September 2013 under a star-filled sky and she knew that she was going to fall in love with him from that day.

In February 2021, Aaron got down on one knee and popped the question to Carley. They were at Half Moon Bay and Aaron had set up red roses on a beautiful cliff overlooking the ocean. Even after 8 years of dating, Carley says she still gets butterflies in her stomach and blushes when she’s around him. Aaron was so excited to ask Carley to be his wife. These two are COMPLETELY in love and will have the most beautiful life together.
