The Arboretum and Public Garden boast some incredible places for photo sessions and a general day of exploring with family or friends! From Oak Groves and Acacia Groves to Native American Contemplation Garden, US Davis Arboretum has a variety of backdrops depending on the look and style you’re going for.  

Mama to Be Session at UC Davis Arboretum

The maternity session with Canishiea Sam and her beautiful family was perfect for the soft, natural look we were going for. This mama-to-be was expecting her first baby GIRL, and she looked absolutely glowing in her photos! Canishiea and I had already done a branding and family photo session, so she knew how to do her thing in front of the camera!

The Sam’s family are long-time clients of mine and quickly become some of my sweetest friends –and now, they are anxiously awaiting the arrival of their precious baby girl! I am so excited for them and Big Brother Ezra, who is over the moon about becoming a big brother. 

This family is filled with love and light, and being asked to capture their beautiful, growing family is a blessing I don’t take lightly! We have celebrated our wins as moms and entrepreneurs and leaned on each other for support over the years, and I am so thrilled to be part of this next big milestone for their family! 

Every time I photograph this sweet family, it’s filled with unlimited laughs and the most beautiful smiles –and I feel so lucky to capture their light in photographers they will cherish for years to come.
