All of the vendors helped to curate and embrace all the beautiful colors of a sunset. Photographing this styled shoot got me thinking about different photography styles. I want to speak more on natural colors vs. over edited images when it comes to wedding photography. In my opinion, the colors you choose should stay the same in your photos. Why choose a specific color scheme when planning your wedding if it will only be altered in photos? True to Color vs. Over Edited Images in Wedding Photography

Wedding vendors work so hard to carefully match your wedding colors and it’s important to showcase this. Why create a perfect color palette if your photographer will edit it differently? This is not a criticism of other editing styles other than true to color. That being said, it’s something to consider when choosing a wedding photographer.

Your flowers should be the colors you picked and your skin color should be yours. As a wedding photographer, this is something that is incredibly important to me when capturing your day – colors exactly as they are. My goal is when you look back years from now on your wedding day, it is exactly as you remembered. Not something that was “on trend” during that time. Timeless memories is the goal! Because of this, I couldn’t resist thinking about the stunning color palette being edited any differently.
