Beach Locations for Bay Area Engagement Photos
We planned a couple of beach locations for this Bay Area engagement photo session. Joanne and Ryan are a sweet couple who started a little shy, but soon their personalities shone in front of the camera with lots of laughs, romance, and some bubbly.
Location 1: Moss Beach
The first location we visited was Moss Beach, a woodsy area with beautiful tall trees. A short hike leads up a hill where the light perfectly touches behind the trees, creating soft, romantic lighting. It was magical! You will also find a picturesque view of the Pacific Ocean a little further up the trail! I love the versatility of this location and that multiple spots here are perfect for photos. I’d highly recommend this hike in general, as well!
Location 2: Half Moon Bay
Next, we stopped at Half Moon Bay, one of my all-time favorite locations for photos. The views from the Ritz Carlton at Half Moon Bay are unrivaled! There is a golf course along the cliffs with the most beautiful views (I’d be so distracted if I went golfing here). The beach has a long strip of soft, cool sand, and the sunset here is just incredible. The best part is that the view is impressive in all directions—along the sandy beach, into the water on the horizon, and back up at the Ritz Carlton.
