Monae and Cecily had such a beautiful and inclusive wedding at The Bloc in Roseville, CA! They had a unique celestial-inspired wedding theme and were surrounded by so much love from their family and friends! I adored Monae and Cecily’s love for one another and going from capturing their Half Moon Bay engagement session to their inclusive wedding day. The best way to describe these two is pure joy!

Their choice of venue was perfect! The Bloc is a beautiful industrial space that you wouldn’t expect from the outside of the venue. The space gives so much opportunity for the design team to create from empty space. The backroom was my favorite because it had large rolling doors and a bold black wall with leather furniture which was so much fun to photograph in!

Monae & Cecily’s Inclusive Celestial-Inspired Wedding in CA

This stunning couple shared two sweet first looks. One with each other, and then with their two beautiful daughters! It was such a precious moment to capture because of the overwhelming feeling of joy for their love, their family, and their life together. Every single detail of their day was perfectly curated by their planner Rainbow Weddings & Events in their dream to have a celestial-inspired wedding!

Their ceremony site and reception were perfectly transformed into their vision by Sam of Strelitzia Flowers. A beautiful moon-shaped arrangement was created to be a focal point of their theme. The ceremony had such beautiful vows that left everyone teary-eyed. The couple even shared the tradition of jumping the broom which historically is how African Americans symbolized the joining of their union as early as the 1800s! I loved seeing the tradition incorporated into their wedding day!

Their cocktail hour included custom drinks, a Tarot card reader, and delicious Elote from Chandos Tacos! As guests were enjoying cocktail hour, they transformed the ceremony room into their reception. They had gorgeous farm-style tables and candlelight to have dinner under the stars. Talk about a dreamy reception! The couple then changed into something more comfortable and partied the night away with their guest!
