Theresa and Donovan’s spring Vizcaya wedding in Sacramento, California was absolutely beautiful! Theresa and Donovan wanted the day to be lighthearted, romantic, and full of spring wedding vibes. Their wedding was just that, and I loved capturing the love between Theresa, Donovan and their friends and family as well! Getting to photograph Donovan and Theresa’s “Sweet Summer Engagement In The Davis California University Gardens & Arboretum” to their Vizcaya wedding in Sacramento was truly a dream. And the Vizcaya in Sacramento is such a stunning wedding venue as well! The property is beautiful, has gorgeous architecture, natural indoor lighting, and lush outdoor space making it the perfect venue for a California wedding any time of year!

Theresa and Donovan’s Romantic & Whimsical Spring Vizcaya Wedding

One thing that I loved about this wedding day is that Donovan had three first looks! Yes, that’s right. THREE! Both of the grooms best friends dressed up in their mothers dresses and surprised Donovan. It was so funny. He was surprised after the first groomsmen came out. The second time, he thought it would be Theresa but it was his other groomsmen. It was truly hilarious! The third time was with Theresa and you could instantly see how in awe Donovan was of her. Theresa was so radiant and beautiful!

Their ceremony was very heartfelt and full of so much emotion. Everyone was in tears, and I couldn’t help but to feel the emotions myself seeing how in love Theresa and Donovan were. During the reception, Theresa and Donovan surprised everyone with the classic movie “The Goofy Movie” dance routine! It was so fun to see everyone’s reactions and watch the two bust out some awesome moves on the dance floor! There was also a surprise theatric performance of a Taylor Swift song, because who doesn’t love T Swift? The bride and groom never left the dance floor all night, and it was such a fun and energetic reception to end the most beautiful spring wedding in Sacramento!
