Create and Bloom Studio’s Mission
Create and Bloom Studios is a photography studio and creative workspace ideally located in downtown Sacramento. After 14 years as a photographer, I opened the studio as a place where I could create and invite other local creatives to grow their business and skill. I dreamed of owning a photography studio for years and finally found the perfect property in 2020. Since opening the doors to the studio, some incredible photographers and creative businesses have used the space on some fantastic projects. Our mission is to be a place where creatives can grow in their skill, learn new things, and connect with a community of passionate business owners. This month, memberships for studio rentals are opening (this only happens twice per year!!).
About the Studio Space
Create and Bloom Studios is a collective of two unique studios located in the same building in Midtown Sacramento. The first space is a natural light studio with 2 rooms, one set up for consultations and meetings and another for natural light photography. There is a changing space, natural and studio lighting, and many props available for your session. The second space is a 600 sqft urban loft with multiple lighting options, a huge variety of backdrops, and modern furniture and props for any type of session.
Photographers We Love to Work With
We love working with a variety of different types of photographers! It doesn’t matter whether you are a product photographer, brand photographer, or boudoir photographer! All are welcome to come and create at our studio. Just a few types of photographers we love to work with are:
Boudoir Photographers
At Create and Bloom, multiple spaces are perfect for boudoir photography. We’ve had boudoir sessions in both the natural light studio space and the urban loft! Check out a couple of our favorite boudoir images from studio sessions:
Fashion Photographers
Fashion shoots require lots of creativity and Create and Bloom gives you the spaces you need to fill with all of your ideas.
Wedding & Engagement Photographers
Being a wedding and engagement photographer myself, I know that weather cancellations are a huge bummer and can totally disrupt your schedule! However, having access to a studio in case of inclement weather can save you the time of rescheduling engagement sessions or portrait sessions.
Family Photographers
Our studio is also a place where family photographers can come and create! Having an indoor studio location is perfect for families with smaller children. And if you typically shoot family sessions outdoors, adding a studio option can help you grow your business.
Maternity & Newborn Photographers
We have also had some truly breathtaking maternity and newborn sessions at the studio, especially in the natural light studio!
Product Photographers
Looking to do a product shoot but need a studio location? Create and Bloom can help! We’ve worked with brands like Vive Cosmetics and Hello Tartlet to create high-quality product images.
Brand Photographers
There are also multiple spaces that brand photographers can take advantage of at the studio. Some brand photographers have even offered brand mini-sessions at the studio! From simple headshots to an in-depth brand shoot, Create and Bloom is an ideal studio for brand sessions.
Other Projects at Create and Bloom
While Create and Bloom is primarily a photography studio, there is no limit to what you can use the space for. We have hosted events, styled shoots, and more. You can also use the space for client consultations, workshops, or as a location where you can create in-person sales events!
Studio Membership Benefits and Options
We only open our membership enrollment twice per year, in February and August. And you are in luck—we are currently accepting new memberships! You’ll save $25/hour on studio rentals with a membership!

8 Hours/Month: $400
10 Hours/Month: $500
